Ms. Hayley Granacher has been selected as the Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) School-to-Career Coordinator, to assist and prepare students with the transition into their chosen career pathway, such as obtaining paid internships, apprenticeships, jobs, and college credit articulation agreements to benefit EASTERN students as they prepare for post-secondary education.
Prior to her new role, Ms. Granacher has served as EASTERN’s Culinary Arts Instructor since 2015. Ms. Granacher received her Associate of Applied Science in Baking and Pastry Arts in Penn College of Technology, and her Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education from Penn State University. She holds professional certifications in many areas, such as Vocational 1, ServSafe, and Cooperative Education.
After several year of working as a pastry chef, she began substitute teaching the Culinary Arts program at North Montco Technical Career Center and realized teaching and helping students prepare for their future was her passion. She enjoyed four years as a Culinary Arts instructor at EASTERN and felt as though moving to School-to-Career Coordinator was the ideal next stepfor her.“I truly appreciate career and technical education,”said Ms. Granacher. “Teaching at EASTERN has been amazing and has taught me that, as a school, we need to help place these students in their chosen field and set them on the right path. I am excited to work with all of EASTERN’s instructors and help establish business partnerships to enhance all programs and the opportunities that they can provide our students.”
