Dear EASTERN Family,
There is no longer a requirement to get tested or to quarantine when traveling out of state. As of March 1, 2021, the Order of the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health for Mitigation Relating To Travel is no longer in effect. Travelers should still practice appropriate public health measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 such as masking, physical distancing, and hand hygiene. The Department has FAQs specific to travel that can be found here.
Tomorrow, I will be meeting with our districts to discuss options for opening EASTERN for more in-person days for students. I will be sending an update on this topic later this week, but want you to be aware that it is on our radar and we are evaluating options.
