EASTERN 2013 Commercial Art/Abington High School alumni Kyle Spolitino is currently living in Spokane, Washington while working at Yellowstone National Park, a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot, and pursuing his dream of travel and nature photography.
Spolitino developed a love of nature and photography early on in life. After visiting EASTERN while in 10th grade at Abington High School, he decided to take the first steps in building his career by enrolling in the Commercial Art program. Over the years, his focus has remained on travel and developing an impressive gallery of nature photography – many of which he has sold.
EASTERN Commercial Art Instructors Nicole Mohrey and Rob Steinbacher are currently working with their students on a lesson in nature photography. Steinbacher reached out to Spolitino to see if he would be willing to donate one of his nature photographs to EASTERN as a sample for the nature photography lesson plan and in an effort to display artwork from Commercial Art graduates throughout the offices in the building. Spolitino agreed and provided his former instructors with a scenic lake and sunset portrait. Spolitino’s nature photography can be viewed at www.instagram.com/kspoli_photo/.
EASTERN’s Commercial Art program covers everything from conceptual drawing and design to a professional portfolio.
