Meet Ms. Whitehead – Allied Health Instructor
Beth Whitehead was selected as the Allied Health Instructor at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology in August 2017.
Ms. Whitehead is a Registered Nurse, a Board-Certified Emergency Nurse and a Board-Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse, with several industry certifications. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from Penn State University, her RN from Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing, and her MSN in Nursing from Chamberlain College. Prior to joining EASTERN, Ms. Whitehead enjoyed a successful career in the healthcare field as an Assistant Dietary Director at a Nursing Home in Willow Grove, to an emergency trauma nurse, to her most recent position as a Clinical Educator at Abington-Jefferson.
Ms. Whitehead continues to work as a Nurse Expert for a law firm in Philadelphia. She has also worked as an Adjunct Nursing Professor at Widener University.
Meet Ms. Festa – Allied Health Instructor
Ms. Marie Festa has been selected as the second EASTERN Allied Health Instructor, starting in January 2021, as the program expands to provide more opportunities for students in Eastern Montgomery County to explore and prepare for careers in healthcare.
Ms. Festa has 24 years of experience at Fox Chase Cancer Center in various nursing positions. Ms. Festa holds a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and is currently working on her master’s degree in Nursing at Chamberlain University. She also holds professional certifications in Oncology and ambulatory care nursing. Prior to her teaching position at EASTERN, Ms. Festa was the Patient Flow Coordinator, and Staff RN Ambulatory Care, and Relief Nursing Supervisor at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Prior to these positions, she was the ICU Unit Team Leader at Fox Chase Cancer Center.
