EASTERN and Pittsburgh Technical College Form Partnership, Benefits 9 Programs

Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) Business and Technology Professional, Commercial Art, Culinary Arts, Electrical Technology, Networking and Cybersecurity, HVAC, Protective Services, Robotics and Automated Technology, and Welding Technology students can benefit from a new partnership with Pittsburgh Technical College. Students have the potential to earn up to 16 advance credits for the work they completed while at EASTERN if they have successfully completed all admission criteria.

Pittsburgh Technical College utilizes a per-credit and fee structure to determine total cost. The per-credit charge will vary based on program. The tuition and fees charged will be based on the credit load carried per term. The per-credit charges by program are listed on their website – https://ptcollege.edu/financial-aid/tuition/. The articulation agreement spans from a saving of $260 – $370 per credit depending on the program of study.

“We truly appreciate that Pittsburgh Technical College recognizes many of our programs as college-level,” said Hayley Granacher, EASTERN’s School-to-Career Coordinator. “This is the first time we have had nine programs included in an articulation agreement with a postsecondary school. Pittsburgh Technical College’s mission aligns closely with EASTERN, as they strive to transform students into professionals with strong academics with an emphasis on immersive internship experiences for students. We are happy that our students can take advantage of this great offer to save time and money in college.”

With more than 30 programs, Pittsburgh Technical College prepares students for career success. Degree-seeking students experience internships, clinical rotations, or employer partnerships in capstone projects before they graduate. For more information, please visit https://ptcollege.edu.
