On February 4, 2016, Eastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) Commercial Art students, Alex Smith from Abington High School, and Astrid Hanes from Upper Moreland High School, volunteered their time and talents to photograph ClientLink’s Open House.
ClientLink is a Direct Mail & Fulfillment Company located in Montgomeryville.
ClientLink recently moved to the Montgomeryville area and planned an Open House for all of their clients to see their new facility. ClientLink Manager, Karen O’Connell, was aware of EASTERN’s Commercial Art program and the talented students that the program produces. She contacted EASTERN to see if any of the current students were interested in photographing the event. The photos will be posted on the company’s website.
“We are always looking for new partnerships that will benefit our students,” said Joe Greb, EASTERN’s Assistant Director. “This is a great opportunity for Alex and Astrid to interact with the public as the official photographers for this event, just as they would in the field.”
EASTERN’s Commercial Art program covers everything from conceptual drawing and design to a professional portfolio. Students learn the value and application of their unique styles in both design and illustration. Students use industry-standard software on the Macintosh platform. Software used includes Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash.
