Alumni Spotlight – Michelle Klaski, Computerized Information Systems

MichelleKlaskiEastern Center for Arts and Technology (EASTERN) 1988 Computerized Information Systems/Upper Dublin High School graduate, Michelle Del Popolo Klaski, went directly into the workforce after graduation and has been enjoying a career in the office administration and customer service industries. Attending this program while in high school gave her the computer skills and professionalism required to succeed in any corporation or office environment.

Computerized Information Systems was the predecessor to EASTERN’s Computer Network Administration program. All of EASTERN’s programs are industry-standard and use the some programs and equipment being used in the field. Klaski heard about this program offering while in tenth grade at Upper Dublin High School, and since she already had an interest in computers, she decided to enroll.

When Klaski’s daughter, Brittany, approached her about attending Cosmetology at EASTERN, Klaski was thrilled. Both Michelle, and her husband, Phil, are EASTERN graduates and respect the value of career and technical education. Their daughter, Brittany, completed EASTERN’s Cosmetology program in 2014.

“I would highly recommend any EASTERN program,” said Klaski. “It made me more valuable especially when first entering the workforce. My husband and daughter also benefitted from this great, real-world work environment that EASTERN offers.”

Computer Network Administration students must pass the Certified Linux Administrator (CLA) exam in the first year of the program and are prepared for other industry certification exams, including Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
